geez, but he’s tall

There’s an “assumed rule” of ettiquet among film critics/journalists that you don’t do “fan stuff” when meeting famous people in a professional context – i.e. don’t try for an autograph, a photo, whatever. It’s a good rule. Film professionals – especially actors – spend too much time posing and signing as it is, interviews with journalists should be where they can feel relaxed and “safe” from all that. Times when it’s okay to ignore this rule? When the photo-taking is already going on and one figures “well, since I’m here…”

That’s my story, and I’m stickin’ with it:

On the right, your’s truly. On the left, director George A. Romero.

Yes, he is in fact that tall (I’m 6’2, for comparison) and yes, he is as cool as you hope he is.

sorry to double post, anyone checked out the clip from his newest zombie apocolypse? “Survival of the Dead” With all the Canadian cast in this one I think its safe to say this one is definitively north of the border, oh damn, the zombies aren't afraid of the cold, but the joke's on them, frozen flesh in impossible to chew!

Congrats, Bob! Glad to see you got to meet such a reputable filmmaker, and it sounds like you walked away from the experience quite happy about it. Warms my heart, it does. ^_^

I'm not a big fan of the “…of the Dead” series, but I do know George A. Romero is a legend in the film industry. It's awesome you got to meet him. However, if you were to have met Mel Brooks in person, then I'd jealous to the point of utter insanity… šŸ˜€

Off topic a bit, but dude, you look EXACTLY like your voice sounds. It's eerie. How many people look exactly like you'd imagine them to look when you hear their voice?
