In Bob We Trust – TOP FIFTY CHARACTERS WHO MUST BE IN SMASH BROS FOR SWITCH

So. This was started as a “just for fun” episode and was meant to go up late Sunday night. Then it didn’t because reasons and when it became clear it was going to be overdue I made it longer and more “elaborate” to be worth everyone’s wait… and then we had a blizzard here, so further delays.

In any case, I’m sorry this is essentially up three days late, I hope it’s enjoyed and if not I’m sorry the wait was for something that’s more on the just-having-fun side. Next week’s should be A.) on time and B.) non-frivolous (or at least as non-frivolous as this series gets)

    Very fun and worth the wait. The heady pieces are what I look forward to, but the fun ones are a nice change of pace. And If I may be so bold;

    1. Dracula
    2. Mickey Mouse (I’d prefer King Mickey from Kingdom Hearts, But I’ll settle for Classic Disney Shorts Mickey)
    3. Viewtiful Joe
    4. Bugs Bunny
    5. Lara Croft
    6. Another Kong
    7. The Chosen Undead (Dark Souls)
    8. Yoda
    9. Paula (Earthbound)
    10. Midna

Some characters I’d like to see in the new Smash:
    — The Heroes from Legendary Wings: Michelle Heart’s had a few cameos and Kevin Walker even less, but it’s time to get them some good screen time. Be interesting foils to Pitt, too.
    — The Hero from Dragon Quest/Warrior: He put JRPGs on the map, and his home was the NES. Need I say more? Oh yes…
    — The Warrior of Light from Final Fantasy I: The other huge JRPG, and he’s already seen similar battle in the Dissidia games. Speaking of which…
    — Take your pick from FF I – VI: You can’t tell me Rydia’s Smash summoning Leviathan wouldn’t be awesome.
    — Mike Haggar from Final Fight: Dude suplexed a shark. Need I say more?
    — Kane Gardner/Jason Frudnick from Blaster Master: A boy and his tank. Let the antics ensue.
    — Joe and Mac from Joe & Mac: Their eclectic selection of caveman weapons would give them an unusual play-style.
    — ZED, from Robo Warrior: Come on, I can’t be the only fan of the game out there! You play as a full-conversion cyborg trying to save the world by blowing up just about everything! Samus meets Bomberman!
    — Billy and Jimmy from Double Dragon: Brawling’s old hat to them. The bigger question is why HAVEN’T they been in a Smash so far?
    — Take your pick from Chrono Trigger: I’m actually going to go to bat for Frog. Yes, he’s another swordsman, but being an amphibian may lead to a different fight style. Also? Summon Giant Frog for a smash. Literally.
Will from Illusion of Gaia: He fights using a mixture of a flute and psychic powers. Freedan and Shadow morphs as part of smash would be neat, too.
    — Somebody from Rock N’ Roll Racing: If they can turn pilots and racers from other games into fighters (*ahem* StarFox and Captain Falcon), then this game can get the same treatment.
    — Any of the protagonists from Rune Factory: It was Stardew Valley long before Stardew Valley was even a thing, RF 4 was a darling, and maybe this would help convince people to make RF 5.

So yeah, that should do for now.
