Alligators aren't actually much of a threat outside of water and will rarely attack from land, you wouldn't want to antagonize one (say go poke it with a stick) but everyone there is pretty safe. Awesome cat though

Yes, if I was that cat, I would have just scampered off and let natural selection run its course.
Then again, the alligators were kind of wimpy, and look on the bright side: Those morons are going to have another shot down the road.

You know, I don't particularly like cats, but it'd have been pretty bad if the cat was eaten… I mean don't people lose pets to gators?
Wonder if that would have silenced them.
