Very interesting, Bob. I may have to check this out. Although, I sometimes feel I'm in the minority of those people who actually liked the film version of “Frankenstein” that Kenneth Branagh directed. It was really ambitious for it's time, and really showed the tragedy of the story in a interesting way. Speaking of which, I was totally shocked when I found out that was Robert de Niro the creature! How crazy and brilliant is that?
This is a great movie, one of my favorites from Toho. I can't wait for what you have to say about “War of the Gargantuas”, it might be my favorite Toho movie of all time.
Calling the creation “Frankenstein” is no stranger than calling a particular brand of car a “Ford”.

I never thought of it like that, Tom
