Hmm…OK, still not exactly distinct from TGO. I know you referenced that, but you didn't exactly explain it. Not that I care, as geeky criticism/gushing on topics of my youth is just fine, regardless of the time. But it still just feels like a tease, not even a transition.
Oh, and I've always loved SMB2. Nice play control with distinct players, bright colors, fast gameplay, good challenge, warp zones aplenty and….WHAAAAAAAAA? Oh yeah, you're a SMB3 fanboy.
Do you think SMW is fully inferior to its predecessor, or just not improved enough to make it better given the new era and better technology. SMW is and probably always will be my favorite. More variety, better controls, battery saves. And in all other respects, identical to the very good SMB3. So…it what objective ways does it not measure up? I think it's one of the best sequels ever made – keep the good stuff, improve on what (little) was lacking.

You illustrate exactly what the problem is with gamers. As soon as somebody questions your Status Quo and asks you to examine your own privileges, you start accusing them of trolling or Poe's Law. I'm at a loss as to what the controversy is here. We're not allowed to say something is “crazy” any more? Look, it would be one thing if Bob said named an actual mental disorder such as autism or used the word “retard”, but crazy? That's such a generic catch-all term with no actual group that could be reasonably offended by its use. Please explain to us why you feel Bob should be ashamed to use that word.

I already explained to you. That word is incredibly able-ist. There are plenty of other words that could suffice which wouldn't enforce able body privilege. Failure to use those words simply demonstrates that the user has a profoundly limited vocabulary.

Okay, as somebody that is fully in support of feminism, racial equality, autism acceptance, and tolerance in general, let me explain something: people hate when somebody latches onto some lesser-known offensive interpretation of language or behavior and immediately jump to the “they are THE MAN keeping us brothers and sisters down!” conclusion. They don't listen to that shit because it turns what could be an enlightening “hey, you may not know this, but that word has some bad implications to it and here is why” into “you are the scum of the earth and you should feel ashamed of yourselves!” It puts them on the defensive and when somebody is on the defensive, they will not care what you have to say and as you see here, they will even shove back.
Think about the last time you encountered some religious protester shouting “you will all burn in hell!” and realize that's what people are getting out of that approach. If you really want to spread awareness of an issue, you don't open up with calling the person “truly pathetic”.

I didn't start with a personal attack. I started by saying that ableist language is disgusting and unacceptable. The only reason somebody would have to get defensive about that was if they were trying to defend their right to perpetuate ableism. It is not the responsibility of the marginalized group to pat the privileged group on the back and say “it's ok to be a marginalizing ableist because you didn't know you were doing it”, and it's certainly no excuse to continue doing it just because somebody hurt your precious privileged feelings.
