Buy My Book (AGAIN!)

Yes, I know – it’s been a bit since this page had an update for anything that wasn’t a video post. Things have been… interesting, for awhile, let’s say. There will be one of those (a video) with more detail about this in due course, but for now call this a “soft-launch” mini-announcement for the early morning folk:

We’re putting the remaining copies of the (currently still out of print) “original run” First Edition of “SUPER MARIO BROS. 3 – BRICK BY BRICK” (the first physical paperback printing, from Fangamer) out for sale, and the first batch is a limited supply of copies that will go out individually hand-signed. The listing is now live on eBay (because that was the most hassle-free way to do it that would let me offer free shipping so people aren’t getting overcharged for living “too far away,” mainly) and can be got at HERE until there aren’t any more available.

We ARE planning to sell MORE (i.e. the remainder of the unsigned physical copies) subsequently, but it seemed appropriate to get these ones out the door first …basically (full disclosure) these represent the last of the “convention table sign-and-sell” stock from the pre-Pandemic and the rest are still in “boxed backstock,” so that will be a different listing at a different pricepoint. But it’s decidedly NOT an endless supply of either, so those who want ’em? Get in while you can! 😁

This Movie Exists – “TRANSMORPHERS” (2007)

We’re back! 👍

You’ve heard the legends, you’ve seen the memes, you’ve at least heard OF the jokes – but just how bad and/or bizarre IS the most infamous “mockbuster” ripoff of the direct-to-video era, really? Who made this thing, what were they thinking, where did they come from (and where are they now?) …and the question NO ONE ever expected to ask: Is there ANY possible explanation for this 2007 turkey’s inexplicable featured appearance in one of 2024’s BEST-REVIEWED films?? Only one thing can be certain: “TRANSMORPHERS” is a movie …that exists!

[NOTE: Video includes discussion of plot points in recently-released feature film “I SAW THE TV GLOW” related to the topic at hand (yes really) – viewers wishing to avoid spoilers for that film can skip from 3:45 to 6:42]
