I just saw it a few hours ago. Best comic book movie…ever? Very likely. Well it was so awesome.A must buy for Blu-ray. And I got a free Hit-Girl t-shirt too.

Movie that shall not be named is the movie I've second most pumped about seeing this year (after Scott Pilgrim)……will have to see it next week with my friends.

Said movie has been out in New Zealand for a few days already.
Haven't got around to seeing it yet though, even though I see them for free. Pretty slack. But I've heard only good things.

It is (very) good – much better than the source material (not such a hard stretch, but still…). While Cage does give one of his rare “wow, NOW I remember why he’s an actor” performances (see- Adaptation) the one everyone will remember is Chloe Moretz- she simply owns every single second she’s on the screen.
Best comic book movie? Wouldn’t say – for my money its still a three way tossup between Dark Knight, History of Violence and American Splendor, but I’ll let repeated viewings decide.

Dude this movie is awesome! especially the strobe gun fight scene 😀 one of the best Gun fight scenes i've seen in a while To be honest 5 stars from the wellington Weekend herald.

Oh right. I'm probably going to need to see this, despite my best intentions.
… on the other hand, I'm so sure I'm going to hate it, that I'm bound to be surprised. Or, in wanting to be surprised, can I be? … Way too meta.
And for me, the best superhero movie will always be Unbreakable. Come! See the glorious era before Shamalyn became a walking, talking press release!

There is a BIG difference between best super-hero movie which are mostly character based and story based (and to my mind one of – if THE – best Superhero movie was not based on comics – The Incredibles) to a comic book movie (your Sin Cities, Histories of Violence and so forth) which are based on beginning-middle-end story (Hellboy and Kick-Ass sorta skid the deal – they have a story – but its a long and continues one).

Reviews from press screenings haven't been so great…. in fact, one of them was titled “Kick-Ass wasn't so kick-ass”….

I just read through the comic, recently; this looks more based on Mark Millar's story than Wanted was, but this one wasn't as good as Wanted. Or that great, at all, really.
It seemed like it was trying to mock “gritty-realistic-superhero” (read: Kevin Nolan's Batman), while at the same time, pandering to the 15-year-old-boys that want a lot of blood, violence, and swearing.
