Alright Bob, what part of the A-Team movie, Hot-tub Time machine, Cop Out, The Karate Kid, Predators, Tron 2, and Clash of the Titans are you not getting here?

We're in the middle of an 80's nostalgia boom. Catch up.

Bob, quick need-to-know thing about Sucker Punch for whenever you get around to reviewing it:

This is a Warner Bros movie starring a blonde pig-tailed girl in an insane asylum, directed by a man who was offered to be Nolan's replacement (but turned it down) should he decide not to return to Batman 3.

Read the first part of that sentence again (from “This is” up until “insane asylum”) and keep that context in mind as more info starts coming out about Batman 3.

Marketing within marketing within cinema…. a rare but strangely effective ploy used by big film studios. The industry is keepin' its wheels a' turnin'.

Not saying if I know Sucker Punch will be any good, but I am stoked nonetheless! 😀

Hm… I find I can't disagree with this half of your “Bible,” though saying people need to see “all” of the Hammer movies is a gross overstatement, as Hammer was effectively a grindhouse studio: They made this shit because it was new, it was edgy, it made money, and since they already HAD the props for it, making a new Dracula movie was simple enough.

I'm not trying to undermine what they've done, no, hardly, but they were a smaller studio with an aggressive productiion output to capitalize on the Universal Monsters. Not to say they didn't leave us with a hell of a legacy, mind you. Why, they even more or less gave Christopher Lee a career…

Also, no mention of Horror of Dracula. Can't have everything, I guess.

Oh and despite being 32, I have never seen Blade Runner, and thus didn't get the joke in that strip. Yeah, I know. Never got around to it.
