Disney’s "Sin City"

I feel like the “moment” has passed for a “Sin City” sequel. The gimmick more-or-less got well covered by the first one, and Frank Miller’s innability to avoid being a giant cockbag has tainted pretty-much everything associated with him – even stuff from before 9/11 broke his brain.

That said, THIS is made of win.

Walt Disney's Sin City. Yup, that is WIN. As for Holy Terror, and anything else he's touched, like The Spirit movie, well, I guess the fame really went to his head. I don't know.

    That said, clever video.

It really is a shame. Frank Miller used to be such a huge talent in the comics industry. Now he's just an asshole who destroys everything he touches, but also manages to drag down other worthy projects (why is everyone so hesitant about a Sin City sequel? Because of The Spirit and everyone is nervous about pulling Frank back into the spotlight. Hell, I'd bet Zack Snyder's inability to make a movie as successful as 300 since then is at least partly due to the association with Frank).

Wait a minute…Giant ego, destroys everything he used to love, former leading force in his industry now cautionary tale…Oh my god. Frank Miller is comic books' George Lucas.

I like to think that my subconscious is a giant maelstrom of everything I absorb from the popular culture. With that in mind, I love the remix/internet culture*

That was awesome. I can't believe it took me until now to even think of a Sucker Punch parody with Disney princesses/characters. Oddly enough, I was just thinking about that movie this morning. I remembered an Intermission article Bob wrote a while back in which he gave what I believe was the most well thought-out description of the film.

Oh Frank, what the HELL happened to you? Once he was one of the biggest names with critically acclaimed titles to his name and now he;s something of a gigantic douchebag.
