    well I can understand why Amy would hate avengers as she was the first one to give it a negative review on RT and was ferociously assaulted for it, and I think that her reason for liking Spider-man is the real reason so many liked it, and I didn’t (I didn’t hate it, it just wasn’t the movie I wanted). Over all I would have to agree that it was a rather disappointing year but I probably had a few more enjoyments then they did.

    I love the way this is shot and edited. Such a unique take on the traditional film-nerd vlog discussion, both because of those technical choices and because of the distinct identity that Badass has built for itself. I'm very, very eager to see more… and I want a Film Crit Hulk appearance ASAP.

    Gotta say, after Faraci's volatile tweets and comments regarding bronies, I didn't expect his actual persona to be quite so laid back.

    Anyway, those two other guys were completely insane when it comes to Avengers. Heck, I'd even disagree with Faraci in regards to the film's first act. And while I liked Prometheus (but still openly admit that there are a TON of issues with it) this has been a pretty disappointing summer. Also, I am surprised that the video never mentions Ted.

    “I'm sick of nerds ruining everything by dominating culture”

    Really?

    Kick her out and bring Film Crit Hulk out. The difference between the two being that one can at least back up their opinions without looking like an idiot.

    @Anonymous above me.

    I'd say that's a pretty damn factual statement, especially since you just proved her point.

    “Nerds ruin everything by dominating culture.”

    “What! How dare she! Kick her out! Listen to me! Do what I say instead! I demand satisfaction!”

    She's using a blanketing statement about something she doesn't like which is unfair. Am I saying that “nerds” don't ruin things with the way SOME of them act and/or comport themselves in regards to their respective fandoms? No. But in the same respect, saying nerds ruin everything by dominating culture is a broad statement that, intended or no, is inflammatory to nerd culture as a whole. She's basically saying “if you're a nerd, you're the reason pop culture sucks.”

    That's funny she says that. I'm sick of women ruining everything, period.

    Seriously though, Peter Parker is SUPPOSED to be a nerd. Making him the anti-cool outcast type of cool makes him NOT Peter Parker.

    The woman didn't really defend her arguments well. At the same time, it's because the main guy didn't let her make any arguments and assumed she was wrong.

    I can see the show having some potential, but I feel like it would be better if instead of doing a whole group of movies they focused on one or two movies.
