Even if you have live actors for Mario, Luigi, and Peach, the rest of the movie is still going to be CGI. In other words, the movie is going to be animated regardless of whether it’s marketed as animated or live-action. In a case like this, it only makes sense to have the other 10% be animated as well instead of trying to shove three live actors into an animated production.

Also, at 5:10, there is an Italy in the Mushroom Kingdom. It’s Isla Delfino.
