We're trying to make the ground waist high, but there's been a complication, it seems that for every inch we move the ground up, we grow exactly one inch higher. Obviously, something sinister is forcing our bodies grow to toy with our ambitions to raise the ground to waist level. As always, I blame aliens.

The best part, for me, was at the very end of the hearing, when Colbert broke character and told that subcommitte – as well as reminding all of us – that these workers have little to no voice, and somebody needs to stick up for 'em.

I feel like that was actually somewhere in between Stephen Colbert of the Colbert Report and the real Stephen. Like, he was cracking wise, but he wasn't the blowhard he is on TV.
